Shouldn't a computer be able to remember for you? Macaroni is a tool which handles regular maintenance for Mac OS X's Unix core. Normally these tasks run on a regular schedule, in the middle of the night. However if you don't leave your Mac on all night, they never run. Your Mac won't wake from sleep to handle this. Macaroni remembers the schedule for you! Macaroni solves this problem. If a scheduled maintenance task is not run when it's normally scheduled, Macaroni automatically ensures that it's run at the next opportunity, whenever the Mac is on. Features: * Automatically runs maintenance jobs * Configurable: Add your own scheduled tasks * Custom tasks can be scheduled as daily, weekly, monthly, or at regular intervals (such as "every three days"). * Tracks maintenance history * Displays results of latest maintenance run. Macaroni is from Atomic Bird, at . Contact info@atomicbird.com for more information. Download: Macaroni is shareware and may be used free for 35 days. Home Page: Email contact: info@atomicbird.com New in this release: Fixes problems affecting some Macs where the "Run Job Now" button failed to work properly. Also fixes "no such file" errors affecting some Macs, and a problem where the "history" window would sometimes not display the full history. Features include the opportunity to do various inflection exercises, and translation exercises in both directions; to record and play sound for single words; to do exercises based on sound or pictures; and to play various word-games. The program keeps a record of exercises, and identifies the words that the student has difficulty with. Along with the program, you need a module for the target language concerned. The program can also be used as an authoring tool to write your own modules of inflected words for any language. A built-in 'inflection-generator' simplifies the addition of these words. A 'Find' feature allows the modules to be used as bilingual dictionaries. Ready-made modules are already available for certain languages. You can visit: to get more information. Jacek Iwanski.
