This\r\ndocument introduces a series of specifications that define mechanisms\r\nand protocol extensions needed to fully support internationalized\r\nemail addresses. These changes include an SMTP extension and\r\nextension of email header syntax to accommodate UTF-8 data. The\r\ndocument set also includes discussion of key assumptions and issues\r\nin deploying fully internationalized email.
