This document provides a mechanism whereby\r\nendpoints can request Instant Message Disposition Notifications\r\n(IMDN), including delivery, processing, and display notifications,\r\nfor page-mode instant messages.\r\n\r\nThe Common Presence and Instant Messaging (CPIM) data format\r\nspecified in RFC 3862 is extended with new header fields that enable\r\nendpoints to request IMDNs.  A new message format is also defined to\r\nconvey IMDNs.\r\n\r\nThis document also describes how SIP entities behave using this\r\nextension.
